Looking at all these designs, well, it looks a little insane. But finding the right Character Design is like Casting, It has to easily channel the performances through the animator. The design needs to be expressive and easy to draw, for a 5 minute film we are talking about 3600 drawings, you've gotta love to draw your character!
Note to self: Never attempt to draw an expression until you feel it.
